Antioxidants - What are they?

Antioxidants can be described as “Anti-Oxidisation” substances that counteract the damaging process of oxidation in human tissue.

Antioxidants are nutrients (vitamins and minerals) and enzymes (proteins that act as catalysts in chemical reactions). They are believed to play a role in helping to prevent the development of chronic diseases as stroke, Alzheimer’s disease, Rheumatoid arthritis, and cataracts.

The physiological oxidation occurs when the production of harmful molecules called free radicals over-rules the antioxidant defence system.

Online Health products have a range of Antioxidants that help to support and maintain the defence system against these harmful free radicals.
